The TCP 20B60 emergency ballast is designed to convert standard fluorescent lighting fixtures into reliable emergency lighting systems. When AC power fails, the ballast immediately switches to emergency mode and operates one or two lamps to provide illumination for a minimum of 90 minutes. This ensures sufficient lighting for safe evacuation and visibility during unexpected power interruptions.
Equipped with a high-temperature, maintenance-free nickel-cadmium battery, the unit offers dependable performance with an expected battery life of 7 to 10 years. The ballast supports multiple fluorescent lamp types and works with most one- to four-lamp electronic AC ballasts. It also includes an LED charging indicator and test switch for quick system checks and maintenance.
