The TCP 20B50 emergency ballast is engineered to convert standard fluorescent fixtures into reliable emergency lighting units. When AC power is interrupted, the ballast instantly switches to battery power and operates one or two lamps in emergency mode for a minimum of 90 minutes. This ensures sufficient illumination for safe evacuation and visibility during power failures. 

Built with a high-temperature, maintenance-free nickel-cadmium battery, the ballast provides long service life and consistent performance. It offers up to 1400 lumens of initial emergency light output depending on lamp configuration and includes an LED test switch with charging indicator for easy monitoring and maintenance. The unit supports multiple fluorescent lamp types and works with most electronic ballasts, making it suitable for retrofit or new installations.
